MESSAGE FROM THE CEO OF SIDHARTA AUCTIONEER

Dear Art Collector & Lover,

Welcome to Sidharta Auctioneer: Asian Modern Fine Art live and online auction of September sales edition.

With total of 49 lots to be auctioned, we are featuring artworks by renowned artists and maestros of Indonesia as follows: Abdul Djalil Pirous, Amrus Natalsya, Arifin "Neif", Arie Smit, Bagong Kusudiarjo, Barli Sasmitawinata, Dede Eri Supria, Ida Bagus Indra, I Gusti Agung Wiranata, Jeihan, Ketut Sadia, Nasirun, Nyoman Gunarsa, Umi Dachlan and Popo Iskandar. If you are aspired to own a painting showing people harvest rice, that is a special commissioned work by Dede Eri Supria; this piece is quite rare his portfolios.

Alongside, foreign artists who have dedicated their life and love for the charming and culturally rich Indonesia are also the highlights of our collections: Antonio Blanco, Arie Smit, Huang Fong, Lie Tjoen Tjay, Lee Man Fong and Paul Husner.

On the cover, Arifin "Neif" plays a romantic theme of love, longing and solitude. This woman in the painting shows grace and sensitivity while capturing an inner strength beneath their poised exterior.

Jeihan paints jukungs (boats with outriggers) “playing” with waves in the sea. He creates tension by using orange and ochre colors on the right part of the sea, which seems to suggest his viewers to always keep an open interpretation about the waves.

All in all, please do take a moment to browse the selections and our team are more than happy to assist you in sharing further information needed and in bidding the artworks you fall for. Public viewing begins on Wednesday 18th September at Gallery 75, Mampang. To reach us WhatsApp or Call at +6281586269598 and +6281312555543.

Looking forward to having you and happy bidding!
